The Advocate Lab: Practical Wisdom from the Front Lines of Neuroaffirming Advocacy

Most of us start advocating for our kids without a map — showing up to IEP meetings unsure what to ask, exhausted, afraid of getting it wrong. The Advocate Lab is a new series where we learn from neuroaffirming advocates, one origin story at a time: not just what they went through, but what it taught them.

Enter The Advocate Lab, our new series where neuroaffirming advocates share their origin stories. First up: Dr. Destiny Huff, LPC — Autistic/ADHD therapist and special ed advocate — on the fight for her son's IEP that taught her the system.

As always, come as you are and when you can. No need to bring anything but yourself - and fine to come late, leave early, stay off camera…whatever you need works for us!

Open to any parent, family member, guardian, or caregiver of a neurodivergent or disabled child. The session recording will be available for Care Lab members to view anytime in our Workshop Archive.
