Parents of neurodivergent and disabled kids deserve support not isolation.
As longtime social workers and community builders, we knew there was another way - and so we began building it:
Starting with a local Facebook group in Maplewood/South Orange, NJ, we created a space that now supports over 480 caregivers - a living, breathing hub for solidarity, connection, and relief.
That group became our listening lab. Every post, question, and conversation helped us understand what parents were facing - and what they couldn’t find anywhere else.
Those insights shaped the design of our first beta cohort: 45 parents from across the country, with kids of different ages and with different diagnosis, but one thing in common - a desire for deep connection with other parents who get it.

What’s next for Care Lab?
We know our model has the power to transform isolation—because parents told us so. Now it’s time to refine and build a solid foundation for us to grow.
Your support will fuel the next two phases of our work:
Phase 1 - Launch Our Next Beta Cohort ($40K)
Facilitate a care-centered experience for 50 parents nationwide
Build real-time feedback loops to refine the model
Support facilitation, community engagement, and coordination
Phase 2 - Develop the Platform + Deepen the Model ($60K)
Refine platform functionality and accessibility based on real user feedback
Expand our library of community-created tools, guides, and resources
Strengthen backend systems to support growth and long-term sustainability
